High-voltage repellents

Stainless steel contact plates are fitted in the upper engine compartment and work like an electric fence. A marten that touches them gets a harmless but long-lasting electric shock and stays away from the vehicle. Models with built-in ultrasound give double protection.

Ultrasonic repellents

The devices emit alarm-like sounds at frequencies humans cannot hear. The frequency keeps changing, so martens cannot get used to it. Models are available for different vehicles and locations, powered by the car's electrical system or by batteries.
